Our team approach allows you to see more of your wedding day memories. Utilizing 3-5 photographers at most weddings, we are able to photograph things that simply cannot be captured by a single photographer, or even a photographer working with an assistant. We understand that the decision as to who will photograph your wedding is major decision. We know there are a lot of photographers out there, and there are lots of things being offered by those photographers. We’ll try to make your decision easier.

When you book Mark Lawley and Associates Wedding Photography as your wedding photographers, we’ll even give you thirty days to change your mind! If for any reason, during the thirty days, should you decide not to keep us as your photographers, we’ll
refund your initial investment.

Stacey and I started this little picture business in May of 2005. We got married that year soon after graduating from Samford University here in the ‘Ham. While both of us have always been picture people, actually getting paid to create images was something novel, exciting, and somewhat nerve racking in the beginning.

We shot five weddings that year, followed up with 9 in 2006, 16 in 2007 and 35 this past year.

What happened between 2007 and 2008 that made us increase our weddings by double? Somehwere along the way we figured out that people actually liked our work. We were different. Or at least that’s what our clients were telling us! We decided from the get go of starting our business that things were going have a distinct style, and we were going to stick to that style.

Enter the our motto/catch phrase/slogan or whatever you want to call it…..Simple.Color.

Those two words really describe not only our pictures, but the way we operate our business and interact with clients. If you’ve had a chance to look at our images you should notice that we don’t do alot of crazy over the top edits or effects. We really keep things clean, uncomplicated and natural. We meet our clients over coffee and we shoot their weddings as if we were shooting a family get together. "Formal" definitely does not have a place in our workflow!

So we decided that we take simple, yet colorful pictures. It’s been exciting to back that motto up this past year, and week-by-week our images have really started to have an even more unique feel to them.

It’s been fun to see our business grow from a meager start in 2005, to us traveling for photo shoots this season in places like New York, Las Vegas, New Orleans and Washington D.C.
